Great article! We definitely teach different sides of the same coin, but at the end of the day – this is possible for everyone. Personally, after my foreclosure but still being able to hustle up some cash flowing rentals, It shows anyone can do it (even people like me – not born rich, who didnt have perfect credit, but we have a job and income, and can be creative)….Its open to those who believe in themselves. Im no where near a millonaire, but im comfortable…and like you, all I really want is for people to understand that: yes it can be you. And we’re here to help where we can. Good article!

And concerning marketing, Simon told EBA’s Bev James, “The convention in recession is to cut marketing budgets. It happens all the time. But marketing efforts will lead you out of the recession. Cutting marketing first is like giving away your shoes! I would never suggest that marketing budgets shouldn’t be reviewed and made to work harder for every penny. But don’t just slash at them and think you are helping your brand!”
Street performing, also called “busking,” can quickly produce a nice pile of currency if you’re in the right location. What if you have no performance skills? Put on that outfit you wore for Halloween, and see my post on how to make money dressing up in a funny costume.
However, I’m not going to make my own soap to save $1. I’m not going to ride my bicycle everywhere I go so I don’t have to pay for car insurance. I’m not going to sew my own clothes, eat ramen noodles, or sacrifice my love of travel.
Benjamin, I plan on using my blog to help keep me on track as well. In fact, I wanted to name my site “Million Dollar Journey,” but that domain was purchased a few months before I started blogging. I’m happy that Frugal Trader ended up with it though, because he has a great site! 🙂
Step two. Start a service business in one of those area. For instance, go to every local business in your town and offer to set up the facebook fan page for their https://youtu.be/My-MA1_D5Qg Then, in store, their customers can “Like” their page. Then all the friends of those customers will see that they Liked that page and will be curious. That’s the basics. Then it gets more and more advanced as you get familiar with the Facebook landscape and their tools for targeted marketing. If you can’t get any customers for this basic business then something is probably wrong with your pitch, with you personally, or you live in the woods. You can be ten years old and get this business started. Get ten clients or more.
I’m not sure how they got my number or even knew I was looking. Frankly, I don’t even care. Your network can help during these moments of disaster but you have to put in the work and call people. Again, sitting around feeling sorry for yourself will get you nowhere.
