I have experienced this first hand. I have changed my strategy multiple times to find items they don’t sell. I am seriously considering pulling the plug on my biz there for stuff like this and many other issues.
An article on Sunday about the workplace culture at Amazon.com erroneously included a company among those that have opened offices in Seattle and that benefit from the outflow of workers from Amazon. Facebook has done so, but LinkedIn has not.
With thousands of products available to sell online, narrowing down your choices to a single product can be overwhelming. In our first post in this series, we learned strategies for finding your first product and in our last post we discovered places entrepreneurs go to find ecommerce business ideas.
There are several services Amazon offers that can help you, if and when you want to ship the items out. You can opt for Fulfillment by Amazon; however, if a potential customer asks you about the item and you can’t answer the question about that particular item because you no longer have it on hand, you may end up losing this potential customer.
The first thing to do (after you decide what you want to sell, of course) is choose a fabulous, memorable business name that no one else is using. You can conduct a corporate name search to make sure it’s not already in use. Once you’ve chosen the name, register it. (If you form an LLC or corporation, this will happen automatically in the state where you file your paperwork.)
